On Thursday January 25, 2024, we had the great pleasure of welcoming the French Ambassador to Thailand, Mr. Jean-Claude Poimbœuf, accompanied by his wife, Mme. Carole Josse, Consule de France en Thaïlande, and Mr. Alain Faudot, Honorary Consul of France in Phuket. 

Our French program management team took advantage of this visit to show them the extent of our two campuses, talk to students and teachers, and discover our Sports Center and the scope of the activities carried out there. We are proud to be able to welcome representatives of the French government, and to showcase the many facets of the school that help unite the French and Francophone community in Phuket.

We would like to extend our warmest thanks to the Ambassador and the entire team at the French Embassy in Thailand, and take this opportunity to thank the AEFE Asia-Pacific network for its support of the educational project proposed by BCIS Phuket.

On Friday, June 30, 2023, Mr. Laurent Minguely, owner and founder of the school, had the great pleasure of welcoming the Ambassador of France to Thailand, Mr. Thierry Mathou, accompanied by his wife Mrs. Cécile Mathou, and Ms. Magosha Fréquelin, cooperation attaché for French, to visit our sports center and see the range of activities practiced. This visit marks a real accomplishment, the Ambassador having come to inaugurate the construction work of our sports center in March 2021.

On Tuesday 31st January, BCIS Phuket had the honor of welcoming Mr. Ronan Le Gleut, Senator for the French living abroad, accompanied by Mr. Christian Chevrier, Consular Advisor Thailand – Burma and school friend. This visit was an opportunity for Mr. Laurent Minguely, BCIS owner and founder, to present to them the philosophy and values ​​of BCIS Phuket, as well as to show them the establishment and its many new features. Mr. Le Gleut closely follows the dynamism of the AEFE network, and was able to discuss with Mr. Minguely and Mr. Nocella about the extension of the partnership between BCIS Phuket and this network of French education abroad. We thank Mr. Le Gleut for his support and his words of praise for the school, our management teams and the teaching staff. We are proud to be able to receive representatives of the French government and to highlight the many facets of the school which make it possible to federate a French and French-speaking community in Phuket.

On Tuesday 17th January, the Deputy Director of DIT Thailand (from the British Embassy), Ms Ravipa Chongveruwon met with our school leaders to hear about how we operated during and post-covid time, to go over our partnerships with UK education providers such as schools, universities, and ed tech companies, and most importantly, how the Education sector at the embassy can support us to promote UK-Thailand education collaboration.

On Friday, April 22, we had the honor of receiving the visit of Mr. Damien Regnard, Senator of the French Living Abroad, Sénateur représentant les Français établis hors de France.Welcomed by our school owner and founder, Mr. Laurent Minguely, and accompanied by Mr. Christian Chevrier, President of French Consuls for Thailand-Burma, they discussed on the learning philosophy behind BCIS, our two curriculums and the way they are implemented, as they visited both campuses and reviewed the upcoming projects to follow this year and in the future. We feel highly grateful for Mr. Damien Regnard’s support and interest in French Education Abroad and the whole French community in Thailand.

On Monday 10th October 2021, our owners and founders, Mrs. Nittaya and Mr. Laurent Minguely, accompanied by our Thai Department Team, were honored to receive the visit from the Director of Phuket Provincial Education Office, Khun Songsak Tokthong, the Head of Phuket Office of Private Education Commission, Khun Sukon Yukonthorn and their team. The meeting was held in our Senior Campus, thoroughly looking over our education standards at BCIS Phuket and the Senior Campus building overall including an inspection of its classrooms and different departments. Knowing student well-being was evidently placed at the center of the discussion, all teams took part in a school tour, fully embracing a student-filled building in the middle of an active afternoon. We have been very pleased by their visit, and enjoyed the positive feedback on our programmes and facilities.
