Construction History

BCIS Phuket opened its doors to students for the first academic year on September 4th 2017.

The first phase was built in 10 weeks, on 2.5 rai of land. 

The original plan :

The second phase, due to open in September a year later, in September 2018, was meant to be built on 13 Rai of land. Initially, the plan was to create parking spaces over the existing first phase and have the phase 2 building built on the remaining area (10.5 rai).

The revised project design :

In December 2017, our owners and founders, Mrs and Mr Nittaya and Laurent Minguely decided to considerably increase the project’s capacity by purchasing another nine rai of land, next to the existing first phase.

Phase 2 :

With Phase 1 successfully completed and fully functional, BCIS focused on the upcoming launch of Phase 2, which represented the aquatic, sports and parking area. This project is now complete and operational.

Featuring :

• Aquatic area (25x20m pool, aquatic sports area)
• Football pitch (90x45m)
• Athletic running track complete with high jump and long jump tracks.
• Educational Green Zone & BCIS Road Safety Course. 
• Two multi-purpose sports fields (football, volleyball, basketball, handball, tennis)
• Over 200 parking spaces with a covered walkway

Phase 3 :

BCIS Phuket’s third phase, also known as the Senior Campus, is an impressive building spanning over nine rai of land. The beautiful campus was completed in mid-2019 and combined multi-use educational facilities and outdoor learning spaces to create the perfect learning environment for students.

Featuring :

Primary and Secondary School

• 800 sq metre science complex with four laboratories dedicated to physics, chemistry and biology together with a horticultural hydroponic learning centre.
• 300 sq metre senior library and creative activity area.
• Art, dance and music studios
• Large exhibition hall
• Large restaurant and cafe areas.
• Phuket’s first Planetarium and cosmos theatre
• Botanic Garden
• Black box theatre.

Sports & Recreational Facilities

• Air-conditioned multi-sport gymnasium, auditorium, dance studio and fitness centre
• Olympic-sized swimming pool with eight lanes and a spectator grandstand.
• Covered playgrounds
• Two full-sized tennis courts and four mini tennis courts

Security and Environment

• RFID waterproof bracelet and fingerprint entrance system.
• 24-hour security guards and surveillance
• An eco-friendly school with a water harvesting system, waste management and LED lighting.
